Write on Wednesday-Nanowrimalicious

Becca's prompt today is regarding nanowrimo, which happens to be good timing for me. I've been gearing up this month to join nanowrimo for the very first time. This means stacks of books on my 'desk' (i.e. the couch), lots of notes, notecards and a steady decline in blog posting.

Yeah, I pretty much don't think I'm ready, nor do I think I'm capable, but it sounds like that is kinda the point... to write a novel despite all of that.

So in November, I will not be reading or reviewing any books. Rather than let bold. blue. adventure. go completely blank for a month, I was thinking I would periodically update about my nanowrimo progress (or depending on how I'm doing, lack thereof). Or I could just post pictures of myself in progressively more demented-looking poses, hunched over a computer screen...

Who else is wrimoing with me? Who else needs a push to join in and do it? Who is else thinks I'm completely insane???

The only way you could get me to write a novel would be to lock me in a cell with a laptop that has no internet connection. I don't think I'm a good natural writer. Maybe with practice...but I'm not willing to put in the effort. I certainly applaud you, though!! :D

I think that's a great idea, Kim! Wishing you all the best!! :D

I think you're totally insane!! Haha--just kidding. Actually, I think it's awesome that you are tackling this beast.

Aha! I think I finally figured out how to subscribe to these comments!! Yay for Trish!

I think this sounds awesome, and if I though in novel-writing I would totally do it. Instead, I'm going to be cheering on everyone I know who is trying -- you should absolutely post updates on how you are doing!

Are you sure, Kim? Are you sure? All the best to you. I will still be checking your bloggie just in case you have something for us. :D

I'll be joining in, again. I missed out on Nano, last year (I think I had about 7000 words written, when I had to leave town) but I've "won" twice. It's exhausting, but once you manage to shut off your internal editor, the words flow. Want to be buddies? I'm "nancytoes".

I'm joining you in the insanity for the second year, but still I like the challenge, a bit overwhelming at times but trying is the best part

I think you're awesome for doing it, Kim. Good luck!

trish-thanks! Ha, I'll probably have to turn off my internet connection to write as well :-)

trish-yes, I am insane and believe me, I know it! And I'm glad you figured out how to subscribe to comments!

tiffany-I'm pumped, and I'm happy to see you're doing it too!

bookfool-I'd love too, but I don't know how to find you... maybe a quick tutorial?

nymeth-thank you!!

There is a bit of insanity in all things that are fun! I hope you're not too close to the edge yet!
