Books I need to review

I finished Magic or Madness forever ago. Yesterday I finished up The Graveyard Book.

I am part-way through about four other books.

Tonight I researched for a story instead of finishing any of my books or reviewing the ones I have managed to finish. My head is full of trivial bits of information about the fourteenth century. Anyone want to know how houses were furnished back then? Or learn about the extreme lack of hygiene/sanitation? Yeah.

On a side-note, I'm insanely jealous of everyone who got to do the Readathon this time around! So far I've managed to have stuff going on each time. This time, for example, I spent the weekend hanging out with relatives at a family wedding, enjoying free booze, food, and people-watching.

Next time, I'm just going to put the Readathon down on my calendar instead of whatever else threatens to come up so that I don't have to miss it again.

That's what I did for the Read-a-Thon this year...I just put it on my calendar and cleared everything else out! I was determined not to miss it, lol.

The fourteenth century sounds very interesting! Are you doing NaNoWriMo this year??

That's right...any relatives want to get married during the next read-a-thon, you just tell them their simply going to have to change the date!

Yep - clearing the calendar is absolutely next time. I'm with you on that.

Well hey, if you had to miss it, at least there was free booze!

I've only got two more years with my son at home, so I chose swim meet over read-a-thon. You are not alone.

It was very unsanitary in the 14th century -- that much I know.

Kim, I can't wait to read your thoughts on The Graveyard Book!

As for the Readathon, I wish I participated in this year too! It seems like a lot of fun! Hopefully next year...

chris - it is interesting, but I'm a geek like that. I'm doing nanowrimo if I can possibly get enough research and plotting done ahead of time. We'll see!

debi-no kidding!! That's what I should have said in the first place.

andi-so true!

other andi-ha, the free booze was good :-)

Bookfool-sometimes you have to do personal stuff instead of bloggy stuff, right?

melody-well I can tell you that I loved it for sure!! And yes, maybe we can both do it in the future.

I just post dated 4 reviews but am still 4 behind *sigh* This is the first time I have been behind since I stated blogging and I blame the read-a-thon. It was so worth it though and I really hope you can join in next time.
