I don't have a lot of elegant words to say about it, but the book blogging community has suffered a great loss. Dewey, we'll miss you.
I never had the privilege of meeting Dewey in real life, but she was such an amazing blogger and community builder. I never could figure out how she managed to not only read all of the books she read, but organize the myriad of activities, memes, and challenges that she managed. Last night as I was trying to process the news, I thought about everything she had initiated, and I was completely blown away. I have always been a little in awe of her blog, it was just the "cool place" to hang out.
A big hug to all you other bloggers who knew and loved Dewey's blog, and my sincerest sympathies to her family.

Very well put, I agree her blog was the cool place. It seemed to be the hub of the community.
Thanks for posting this. I thought of posting something too, but I just didn't know what to say. She'll definitely be missed.
I can't imagine how her family must feel right now. The whole thing is just so sad.
I was in awe of her and her blog too, of her energy and enthusiasm, of everything she did and of the person that she was. I admired her SO much. A big hug to you, Kim.
I've been walking around in a fog for days now. All the book bloggers I know I met through Dewey. It's unbelievable she won't be around anymore. :(
