I Thought This Was a Book Blog...

So where the heck are the book reviews lately, huh? I have actually been reading, just not so good at reviewing.

The situation has not been helped by my new computer crashing on me. Or our internet temporarily being non-wireless. It isn't really that bad. I could sit in this one particular spot in the apartment, hook up the cable from our modem and voila, internet again. And it seriously is temporary. Our router is in transit. But I've gotten kind of lazy about it. Because I want to sit wherever I want to sit and have connection to the internet.

Man, it really wasn't that long ago that the internet was like super new and super cool and I'd be willing to sit and watch a webpage take three minutes to load because of dial up. Even more recently, when I first went to college, the dorms were not wireless and so if you didn't set up your desks exactly right (which my roomies and I didn't), we had to switch who got to plug in the DSL cord to use internet.

Now the thought of using anything less than wireless is... shocking.

Anyhow, I just finally updated my reading list and never you fear. Book reviews are on their way. Soon to come are reviews of Sandman VII-IX, Memoirs of a Geisha, The Book Thief, and Heat Lightning.

Oh no! I hope you are able to get the computer problems resolved. I look forward to reading your thoughts on the books you've been reading, especially Memoirs of a Geisha and The Book Thief. Take your time though--I'll be here. :-)

I'm so far behind on my reviews too, due to not being able to sit at my computer for most of March!!! I can't wait for your reviews though, especially of The Book Thief, which I also want to read this year.

As for computer problems - we have a modem and a wireless, and the wireless is giving us so much problems now we've had to move one computer to the kitchen to get it to work. I like your description of the old days, since I remember computers with the orange writing on black screen and no internet!!!!! just email......scary, eh?

Oh no!! I don't know what I would do without my wireless Internet either. Probably not use it until I got it back. We are spoiled now, huh?

Look foward to what you think of The Book Thief!! I'm hoping you really liked it.

Hi, Kim - First, thanks so much for your sweet comment on my "bear" blog.

And next, I hope to get lost in some books myself and have something to "say" for Pete's sake. You guys are all so good at reading and sharing. I feel like running out right now to get The Book Thief. Why do I walk into the bookstore or library and go completely blank? Lists! my next action is to make a book list and shove it in my wallet.

I am so far behind in my book reviews it is not funny. Just last month I read 17 books, but only reviewed 2 - very bad book blogger!
